I guess I have to agree with everything a previous reviewer 'Smoky Kenton' said regarding the adapter and in particular the software. Whereas my original Belkin Bluetooth 2.1 Adapter installed smoothly and immediately established a faultless relationship with my Jawbone Jambox it has been and still is a struggle with the Hama. The drivers have been updated, removed and re-installed many times but still connections are frequently made with the Jambox only to be immediately terminated for no apparent reason and always in mono. Having followed 'Smoky Kenton's' tip to disconnect and re-connect manually I have finally achieved stereo which in the past the Belkin always provided automatically.
The main benefit of buying the Hama was to hopefully substantially extend the range which is very limited with the Belkin but again this has been disappointing as although there has been a marginal improvement it is only a matter of a few feet. A range of 100 m seems optimistic although if the receiver was also Class 1 Version 3 (the Jambox is 2.1) and in perfect conditions with absolutely no obstructions maybe it is technically possible. I have given 3 stars as overall in my particular circumstances it has been a pretty underwhelming experience. I really needed to extend the range more than a few feet and for the time being I will be re-installing the Belkin as it has proved hassle free and far more reliable. The inverter was fussy about which bluetooth standard so the challenge was to find a device with the latest standard with the highest power output, which this has.
